Coming Soon, Brau Bros' Rye Wyne

That's right, we're only days away!  We have been very impatiently waiting for this beer to serve its time in used, Templeton Rye Whiskey barrels.  We performed our due diligence by tasting several bottles of the whiskey in order to properly plan and calculate the finished beer.  It was well worth it!

I was fortunate to see the Rye Wyne Ale on a shelf at a liquor store in the Detroit area. Being from Iowa, I was happy to see the Templeton Rye barrel mixed with a Minnesota beer. This beer is wonderful. I look forward to drinking more in the future.

Tried the Rye Wyne for the first time this past weekend at a local beer tasting event. Brau Bros has produced some great stuff and this is no exception! Cheers!

Was making a batch of banger and mashers and saw this tall bottle in the back of the fridge. Pulled it out and saw that I had dated it 8/2013 as the open and drink date. I couldn't drink it alone so I walked a couple of doors down to the townhouse of Laura Peel (Eagle Distributing of Western South Dakota) who does all of the craft beer search and purchase for the company and we opened it and glassed it and OMG I thought I had did and went to Rye Whiskey heaven. The complexities that came out as the beer slowly warmed as we talked were amazing. the fruitey plum sweetness and belgium yeasts(very subtle to detect at first) I was just sick I didn't have many more bottles. It was the best Ale I have ever drank and hope it is a repeated brewing. Me hearty huzzah to ye boys.
